In 2020 the FBCommunity Foundation will have four grant cycles with defined application and review periods. Each grant cycle is defined by one of the Foundation’s area of interest. Requests for funding outside of a grant cycle’s area of interest will not be reviewed. The Grant Cycles will close at Close of Business (6 PM) on the last day.
The four grant cycles will be:
Community Economic Development
Applications – accepted December 1, 2019 through January 31, 2020
Decisions – March 2020
Requests to support workforce development, services to improve or develop small scale commercial and industrial enterprises within communities; efforts to develop and rehabilitate affordable or community housing, neighborhood/community revitalization and financial education are all eligible under the Community Economic Development grant cycle.
Education
Applications – accepted March 1, 2020 through April 30, 2020
Decisions – June 2020
Requests to support adult education, out of school learning, reading promotion, early childhood development and educational development are eligible under the Education grant cycle.
Health & Human Services
Applications – accepted June 1, 2020 through July 31, 2020
Decisions –September 2020
Requests to support basic needs, family and youth services, abuse prevention, community healthcare or access to health care are eligible under Health & Human Services grant cycle.
Cultural Heritage
Applications accepted – September 1, 2020 through October 31, 2020
Decisions –December 2020
Requests to support local cultural and historical museum programming. Work that promotes aspects of human society and culture, are eligible under Cultural Heritage grant cycle.
