In 2022, FBCF will have four grant cycles with defined application and review periods. Each grant cycle is defined by one of the Foundation’s area of interest. Requests for funding outside of a grant cycle’s area of interest will not be reviewed. The Grant Cycles will end at (6 PM) on the final day.
The four grant cycles will be:
Economic Empowerment and Sustainability – Workforce Development and Self Sufficiency
Applications – accepted December 15, 2021 through January 31, 2022
Decisions – March 2022
Requests to support workforce development, enhance or improve opportunities for quality employment and career prospects. Work that increases a households financial security/self sufficiency through adult education, completion of secondary education or school readiness.
Health & Human Services – Basic Needs
Applications – accepted March 15, 2022 through April 30, 2022
Decisions – June 2022
Requests to support short-term emergency assistance for households including shelters, food pantries, or household goods. Efforts to decrease homelessness through programs that promote diversion and intervention are eligible this round of health & human services grant cycle.
Economic Empowerment and Sustainability – Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy and Housing
Applications – accepted June 15, 2022 through July 31, 2022
Decisions –September 2022
Requests that support the process of designing, launching and running a new business; efforts to improve the financial skills and knowledge of households to make informed and effective decisions and supporting development of a range of affordable housing options are eligible under this round of Economic Empowerment and Sustainability grant cycle.
Health & Human Services – Access to Healthcare and Abuse Prevention
Applications accepted – September 15, 2022 through October 31, 2022
Decisions –December 2022
Requests to support community healthcare or access to health care; support the prevention or reduction of child, elder, or partner abuse are eligible under this round of Health & Human Services grant cycle.
