Grantmaking Priorities and 2025 Grant Cycles

Farmington Bank Community Foundation will accept applications through our online grant portal during four grant cycles in 2025. In each cycle, the Foundation will consider requests related to one or more specific funding priorities, as noted below. Requests for funding outside of that quarters funding priority will generally not be reviewed unless there has been a prior conversation with staff.  All applications are due by 6 p.m. on the due date.

Workforce Development and Educational Attainment
Applications – accepted December 15, 2024 through January 31, 2025
Decisions – end of March 2024
The Foundation will consider requests to support job training and employment programming as well requests related to educational attainment that better prepares residents for a career (high school or GED completion, adult education, degree/certificate completion).

Basic Human Needs
Applications – accepted March 15, 2025 through April 30, 2025
Decisions – end of June 2024
The Foundation will consider requests requests for short-term emergency assistance including access to shelter, food, or other basic human needs.

Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy and Housing
Applications – accepted June 15, 2025 through July 31, 2025
Decisions – end of September 2023
The Foundation will consider requests that support entrepreneurship and small business development, access to permanent affordable housing, and financial literacy.

Access to Healthcare and Abuse Prevention
Applications accepted – September 15, 2025 through October 31, 2025
Decisions – end of December 2024
The Foundation will consider requests that support access to preventative care, access to health insurance and those that support the prevention or reduction of child, elder, or partner abuse.
