Applying for a Grant 2022

Farmington Bank Community Foundation (FBCF) provides financial support through its donation application process to 501(c)3 organizations serving residents of sixteen communities* of Central Connecticut. Funding priorities are Economic Empowerment and Sustainability and Health & Human Services.

Applications are accepted online only.  See Areas of Giving

We seek proposals that demonstrate strong leadership, financial stability, collaboration, and the ability to provide measurable outcomes on the positive impact of its programs and services on individuals and communities. We strive to ensure residents have access to employment training and education, health services, healthy nutrition, stable housing, and safety net services.

  • FBCF will consider requests for program grants and seed grants for programs where our support will strengthen, augment, or improve services. We are interested in funding organizations that demonstrate successful results and outcomes.
  • FBCF encourages programs that are collaborative in nature and bring new dollars into the community.
  • The Foundation will have four grant cycles during 2022. See 2022 Grant Cycles

The FBCF makes grants in the range of $5,000-$15,000. Actual grant awards may vary depending on the scope and type of project. The foundation may award funds as flexible funding for organizations with proven stability and impact in the community. In general, grants are one year in duration. To provide fair consideration to all grant requests, Farmington Bank Community Foundation may limit support to an organization after three consecutive years

How Grant Decisions Are Made

  • Final grant decisions are made by the Foundation Board of Directors. Applicants will be notified by email of grant decisions.
  • We review grant requests on a quarterly basis. Applications are accepted online only and should include all supporting documentation. Requests are reviewed within 90 days of receipt.
  • Please note that we can accept only one application per year from any organization.
  • Due to the volume of applications we receive, kindly refrain from calling or emailing regarding the status of your application. We will contact you if additional information is needed and you will be notified as soon as a decision has been made. Thank you.
